BRUIN BASH + EAF
CAC Zero Week Events!
BRUIN BASH is one of the largest campus events at UCLA (co-hosted by CAC and CEC) and is held every year during zeroth week to welcome students back to campus. Bruin Bash 2018 was a truly historical moment for UCLA - featuring a female headliner (Charli XCX) and politically and socially active accompanying artists (CupcakKe and Buddy)! Through this concert, CAC aims to expose Bruins to relevant and stigmatized topics such as race, gender, and sexuality in order to spark important dialogue in our peers. Additionally, CAC works to celebrate radical and progressive people of color by providing a platform for them to express themselves. Floor tickets for 2018 were sold out within 90 minutes, and even students who didn't attend were impressed with the lineup. In the future, we hope to bring more amazing people of color and women into the lineup and promote healthy conversations about divisive topics at UCLA!
ENORMOUS ACTIVITIES FAIR allows all students, especially new Bruins, to get a broad look at student organizations and activities at UCLA. EAF features over 800 student groups and campus departments during zeroth week of fall quarter, letting interested students sign up for more information on how to get involved, get free club merch, and explore the diversity that exists on campus!
